Last week we hosted a really lovely birthday for a group of friends and colleagues celebrating the super lovely Pauline’s birthday.
We were totally blown away by all of the guests…The feeling of absolute affection and friendship among the 18 guests in The Chimney House made for a super relaxing evening – guests kicked back and tucked into a Yorkshire feast and sipped delicious wines and whiskey.
Special mention must go to Diane who organised the party for Pauline… Who took super good care of making sure everything was just so as well as arranging speeches and general happiness!
Our fav part of the evening was when the birthday cake had been received by the birthday girl who was happily making a beautiful speech when Diane announced as cool as a cucumber – ‘the cake’s on fire!!’ which of course it was – burning away merrily unnoticed by the speech captive audience… A swift exhalation of breath sorted out a tiny hot moment and all went back to zen.
