Managed to squeeze (gerrit!) my way in to the hugely popular RAW Food workshop this morning… Hosted by Clare Shepherd of New Life Nutrition, led by Kathryn Johnson of Raw Appetite and held at The Chimney House it was a sell out workshop which was a practical demo on how to use RAW foods in your daily life.
Especially appealing was the ‘make your own mind up’ approach that Kathryn and Clare take – so there is plenty of fabulous advice and step by step demos making up recipes and dishes that can bolster your chosen lifestyle or give you the tools to take it further.
Very impressed by the carefully thought out menus and the use of seasonal and tip top freshest produce and also fab ways to keep an eye on budget with methods and tasty tips to make your own ingredients…
Also now a bit fascinated by cool kitchen gadgetry…Esp new fav the ‘spiraliser’ !! Was refreshing to be given alternatives to ‘gadgets’ as well – so you don’t need to fork out masses on new tech!
It’s pretty cool that simple steps can have a really big impact – and the great thing about the practical demo there is masses to taste and comment on so it’s a great way to find out if the RAW way, or parts of the RAW way is a good thing for you.
There was a great bunch of people on the course today – all at different stages of involvement of RAW …Best of all it was really laid back, straight forward and plenty of chances to ask advice and opinion.
Clare and Kathryn are running more RAW workshops – so get in there first if you fancy taking a peek further…It certainly gets a big tick from us…!! (The courses get snapped up pretty sharpish btw!)
